Core competences: AI, Thermal Engineering. Mirko is Associate Professor at FMEUN with expertize in the optimization and mathematical modeling of energy systems. The current focus of his work is the application of machine learning methods to improve optimization and decision making process in the energy sector. He was the director of Regional Energy Efficiency Center Niš and the member of the Energy Efficiency Council of the City of Niš. Mirko published 18 papers in the journals with IF and tens of papers in other journals and conference proceedings. His h-index is 9 acc. to Google Scholar and 7 acc. to Scopus. He has 358 citations acc. to Google Scholar and 237 citations acc. to Scopus. He acts as a Section Editor in the journal Facta Universitatis – Series Mechanical Engineering and reviewer in the top scientific journals.
